Files with Cyrillic characters in the file name are not opened after update to 2025

Hello!
After updating SketchUp to version 2025, files with Cyrillic characters in the name are no longer opened. If you change it to Latin, the files open without problems. Layout files with Cyrillic in the file name open without problems.

I wrote to support - no answer.
Is there any way to solve the problem?

I can confirm! I just renamed one of my random file to:
имя тестового файла.skp

If you double click in file explorer or hit Enter to open:

__
имя тестового файла.layout opens as it should!

Do you have an active subscription licence? Otherwise there is no support… however, they may answer you as a favour.

Open it from running SU2025:

Thanks for the reply!

Yes, I have an active SketchUp Pro license.

This workaround helped! But we will await an update with a fix for this problem.

Update your forum profile. It shows you are still using SketchUp 2021.

Cannot do it. Trimble, as usual, is problematic and full of bugs.
I don’t know which field is missing - just tried to change SketchUp version.

We can’t tell what field is missing based on your screenshot.

the profile structure has somewhat changed recently, and you’ll have to fill in fields that have preset answers which didn’t have before.
it’s not a bug, it’s been made this way to force people to clearly indicate what they are using, with proper answers

I don’t mind filling in. But how can I know which fields are mandatory if they are not labeled in any way and the system does not mark them in case of non-completion, as it is done in the absolute majority of systems?
Now I was able to update the data - the license type was not specified. But once again - it was not possible to guess it.
Thanks for the answers!

You should know which subscription license you have. With SketchUp 2025 you basically have a choice of Pro or Studio.

Thanks for updating the information. That helps us help you.
