File Explorer

When trying to import a picture file saved in File Explorer the file does not show in any of the folders it is contained in. the File Explorer window that shows in the Sketchup window does not match the File Explorer window in the main Windows Area.

See thy type of file that you are trying to import. You have a dropdown to filter the type of file you want to import.

Thank you for the help but the problem is this. I have a separate folder for pictures and PDFs that are for Sketchup. I can view this folder, and all of my others, with no problem in windows, When I bring up a SketchUp drawing and want to import a drawing it does not show in the folder. Does Sketchup limit the types of files I can import? I have no problems exporting things I want to save. The picture I want to import is a HEIF file.

Again Thanks

HEIF is not a supported file type which is why it doesn’t show in the Import window. You could see which file types are supported in the Import window.

Convert the image to a JPG or PNG or another of the many supported image file types and import that.

Your first reply got me thinking and I went to Sketchup help. You’re right. I just need to do some reading.

Thanks, I’ll post how it comes out

Feeling a little embarrassed. The light came on and all works fine but the best part is that I understand why.

Thanks to all of you who take the time to help.
