Fancy modern method to capture profile of someone's guitar neck?

Last time I had to duplicate and CNC a piece of baseboard, I was able to cut off a section and place it on a flatbed scanner- but that won’t work for this guy’s guitar neck…

I COULD of course use a profile gauge and transfer that to graph paper and etc, BUT I have a feeling there’s a new something faster/ more fluid for getting this into CAD these days.
Anyone heard of any more modern ways to capture an accurate cross section of a profile?
Any such thing as a digital profile gauge or something similarly new fangled?

Thanks!
