Even if you don’t need to export to CAD, it’s a good idea to use lowpoly components. There’s no point in using a chair (which doesn’t look good even with details) with 40,000 edges, when you could create it with only 400 edges and have it look about the same.
For a file with 10 million edges, like the one you created, you’ll need to be patient for a long time to be able to export it to DWG.
