Installed Sketchup Make 2017 but notice that it defaults to a 30-day Pro trial. I need to be able to export to .obj - and am wondering if this functionality is still available once the Pro trial ends (or is there a way to end the Pro trial prematurely so I can check?)

No need to end the Pro trial early. Just look in the Help Knowledge Base.

There are some third party OBJ exporters that will work in Make.
Search the EWH… and also SketchUcation.com’s PluginStore [e.g. Jim’s and mine ?]
