Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the scale of an environment in the new environments feature in 2025. I really like the idea of environments but when I load the pre made environments environments everything looks way too big and out scale and context with my model. I know Environments are mainly for lighting, but I like using them as a background too. Also is there a way to rotate environments vertically. rotating the environment horizontally is a nice feature but I would also like to rotate the environment vertically sometimes. I have also tried making my own environment images and I wish there was a way to control how they appeare in sketchup. They always seem to placed awkwardly in sketchup and I wish there was a way to zoom out the environment while keeping the model where it is. I have looked around a bit for info on Environments but because it is a new feature there doesn’t seem to be much available yet.
You can check out other HDRI environments here: HDRIs: Skies • Poly Haven
If you wanted complete control over the image to use as a background, you could play around with making a skydome like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD0RByUZNmA
Thanks for the reply, I was kind of hoping there would be a way to do this in sketchup. But I think I can probably get the result I want using the tutorial you sent. Cheers!
