Without seeing how you edited it I have no idea what you did to make it disappear. There are enough problems with the geometry, I think the easiest thing is to start from scratch.
My guess would be that you are using ‘hide’ then editing things that affect the hidden geometry causing things to magically disappear.

I can’t argue any longer. I don’t see any geometry problems (other than disappearing faces). The ones you’ve pointed out are part of the design; not an issue.
I’ll start over from scratch. And I’ll follow your suggestions. But, I’m really tired of having to design from scratch over and over with Sketchup.
