I always prefer to use Eneroth’s solid tools because her plugin preserves the uvs of the objects and the plugin never failed me until this project that has angular objects. See pic / file.
Any known workarounds / tricks for this issue so the subtract works as intended? The project will take several months and using SketchUp’s native solid tools would cause some extra work re-doing the uvs all the time. Its a large building so if the manual tweaking could be prevented, that would be great.
I’ve seen that once in a while but as I also have Bool Tools 2 I’ve never really dug into the reason, I just undo and then use Difference from the other extensions.
I do see the issue in your model but I remade the wall and the cutter for the notch on top. Then everything works as expected. I don’t see a real difference between your wall and the one I made, though.
Thanks for trying and I can confirm that something in that object is interfering with the bool. After removing a few edges it does work. Don’t see any pattern though.
