Hey, did you hear about the news in France ? they developed a grass-eating TGV. No more need for nuclear power, you can just feed them like cows.
can’t wait to see a grass-eating TGV in a diorama !

The hall of the Nobel banquet
The only TGV I’m planning in my collection is the classic orange 1980s version. But I can feed her some grass too
Why does the sphere have strange pointy bits?
Because it’s a low-poly sphere, shadows point out its faces and ambient occlusion exaggerate it
I don’t know about the original one but perhaps the structure is as simple as that
(Edit : I’m looking at it again, there’s no way it’s an actual building )
I will ask if it’s possible that when a surface has been smoothed, that ambient occlusion could be smoothed as well.
I think there were a few topics about that, and I believe I read it was a difficult thing to do
This is HUGE ! And it does have much more facets
One of the nice things with SU for iPad is a quick jump to Procreate to smooth things out and punch them up a bit. I’m not the master that some others are, but here’s a simple test from 2022:
I don’t think it’s the AO. I think it’s just the good ol’ SketchUp cast shadows. Gonna be less visible once I increase the segmentation. Also the real building kind of has the same pattern
This thingy was the world’s largest spherical building from the 80s until the Sphere was built in Vegas (wish I’d been there to see it )
We wished that too, make sure that it was the last missed 3DBC!
Love the changeability. Perhaps there’s room for a Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster roof too?
I’ve actually planned a FSM statue inside of the church
