Horse trailers. One Danish and one Swedish. The Danish one modeled after my sister’s Lego set and the Swedish one after my aunt’s trailer that we used when I moved and that has transported my model railroads
Mounted the low bypass prop and the exhaust pipes. Looking more and more like a real 6615. The exhausts were a pain to glue. Superglue has no stickiness until it sets firm but normal white glue hold the piece in place while setting and allows adjustments. Underrated glue.
SketchUp model contains reconstruction of the original, an adjusted model for print divided into reasonable solids and with wings thickened, and lastly resized to Z scale.

When googling for blade geometry and trying out google’s ai it specifically told me to angle the blades flat so it can’t move air because otherwise the model would vibrate and explode 
. I ignored that advice.
if you’re showing us top speed, I’m not sure the model will do anything but slowly rotate ^^
Working on the article for the model railroad magazine and thought you guys would like to see.
Using a bit of SUbD for smooth shapes. It also saves time as I don’t need to model the round transitions at all.
This one is supposed to show the little pocket for the magnet holding the masts. May need to rework or show it together with a photo of the result.
Connecting parts with sprues to lower the part count lower the cost at shapeways. The ends of the sprues can also be used together with holes to align the parts when assembling.

I have subD, I’ve used it, but wow oh wow I need to go to school on this tool. My use is absolutely primitive compared to what I see done on the forums.
I love these! Can’t wait to see them printed and added to the landscape.

And well deserved!!
I would say multiple magazine covers would be well deserved… 3D-Modeling, 3D-Printing, Model Design & Building, Maker Extraordinaire… not to mention plugin/extension guru… 
I grew up with model trains. My dad’s HO layout was the entire basement of the house, about 30’ x 24’, with a big doughnut hole in the middle. I once tried to help by painting his trains for him, with white house paint and a 3" wide brush, before he got up one Saturday. He didn’t think it was as cool as I had hoped… Love the portable loop, is that N scale?
