The only images i use are in the title block on a locked layer that never gets edited. I then turn this into a template which get’s used over and over. Sometimes when opening a layout that i had worked on the previous day, without any images being moved, i will get the issue where it cant find the images. Doesn’t make sense to me, drives me crazy.
Anyway, i think i found the issue. while ‘inserting’ an image creates a link to an existing file on your computer, it doesnt always re-link after closing / reopening. Even if the referenced file has not moved or changed.
To resolve this, and it seems to be working well, just un-link the file after inserting it. I believe i saw this solution in one of the many threads about this (not sure who to give credit to). Doing this will copy the images to the .layout file (which is just a .zip archive)
