Editing Layout windows

Sort of. Draw on Layer 0 make a group or component of the thing and assign the group to the appropriate layer. If you need to add or modify the geometry in the group or component, open it for editing and make the required changes. Generally you’ll put like groups and components on the same layer so you can control their visibility.

The proper workflow with layers is actually very freeing because you never have to chase the correct layer before editing or adding geometry.

Good luck.

Wow! amazing, didn’t appreciate all the scenes were there and available. totally understand now thank you so much!

Keep in mind you can change the size of a viewport by dragging its edges or corners. You can control whether or not the model appears to resize or not with the tick box for Preserve Scale. For ortho views such as the plan view, you can set a scale for the viewport. Other than that, make any changes to the view in the scene in SU and update the scene. Leave the Standard Views and Ortho and other settings alone in LayOut. so you can maintain the link between the scene in SU and the viewport in LO.

If you inadvertently do something to make the scene show as modified in the Scenes list, select the original scene again to reset it.

Awesome, great advice, really appreciated. have a good one
