Dwg help - need to add color to 2D file

I am an interior designer and downloaded a dwg file (attached) of a light fixture for a 2D elevation on my plans. I simply need the attached file converted to a sketchup file with color:

Can anyone help or advise on how to do this simply rather than rebuilding the image?

You can import the .dwg file into SketchUp, exploded the components and then intersect the geometry with the face of a rectangle.

Before doing the intersect step you’ll want to clean up the unneeded geometry. That’s just going to create problems for you.
