DPLinestyler

I’ve just loaded up SU-PRO 2020 & installed most of my previous EXTENSIONS. However, I get the following message with: DPLinestyler

This extension is marked as being not compatible with your Operating System or SketchUp Version. Proceed anyway?

Therefore, do I wait for a new version ?

The other odd thing is that I purchased DPLineStyler (1.0.2) back in 18th June 2019, as confirmed by an e-mail order confirmation, however I can’t find that file on my system. If lost, how do I get a new file ?

is it still in your v19 Plugins folder?

Yes, I thought the same as still working in SU-PRO-2019. But can’t find the *.rbz file anywhere after a Win10-search on my PC, I think its called: dp_line_styler.rbz

I realise a .rbz file is a .rb file that is zipped & the .zip extension is changed to .rbz. I usually just let the EXTENSION MANAGER do the install, once I point it to the folder location of my saved .rbz files.

The unzipped file burried in my Win10 file structure for EXTENSIONS resides in the PLUGIN folder as you say called: dp_line_styler.rb

Therefore, is it a case of just copying this file to an folder & let the EXTENSION MANAGER do the install ?

If thats the case, can it be clarified if ok to do so given the previous message I noted.

Why not just install it fresh via the Extension Manager? That’s a whole lot easier.

when you instal a .rbz from EW, SU deletes it after the install, so there is no copy hiding on your hard drive…

the message from the EW is only ‘precautionary’ and if you trust the extension [i.e. you already use it in v19], then Proceed anyway and test if it works…

Ok, all now installed from new via the EXTENSION MANAGER, yet to test, but this is true for everything with SU-PRO-2020.

Ruby didn’t change ‘much’ this time, so most should work, but some may have new features when updated…

any that use external binaries or SU version based subscriptions may also need upgrading…

you should get messages when you try launching those in SU…
