Display Resolution and Output Resolution (?)

Under File dropdown menu>Document Setup>Paper>Rendering Resolution
What do Display and Output Resolutions mean? or What is the difference?
Thank you.

Display resolution describes what you see on the screen while using Layout. Keeping it low or medium while working on the Layout file will speed things up.

Output resolution is what will be output to PDF or printer. It only affects Raster or Hybrid output.

Vector output is unaffected (AFAIK) by the Output resolution setting.

Thanks a lot John. Very clear!!!

I seem to remember that in numbers Low means 96 DPI, Medium 150 DPI and High 300 DPI.

Thank you Anssi. Good information!!!
