Desaturated .glb exports?

I’m making a set of 3D models but when I export to .glb from Sketchup, the models all appear desaturated. I’ve tried adjusting graphics settings and updated my driver to see if that would fix the issue, but I’m still getting the same results. Screenshots below show the difference, any suggestions?

This is the accurate color profile as seen in Sketchup

My guess is that SkechUp has no control over the way the receiving application displays models imported via .glb and that the exporter doesn’t modify the materials in any way. Especially, SketchUp doesn’t have any lighting except the sun. What application are you using to view the .glb files?

Which renderer are you using for your GLb file?

That is what will determine how it looks

I’ve tried using https://gltf-viewer.donmccurdy.com/ for viewing. I also tried installing SimLab GLTF exporter but am still seeing the same results as above

yes, because it depends on the viewer not the file.

a gltf file contains infos about the 3d geometry and materials. then a viewer will interpret it. various viewers will have different parameters or even engines, giving different results.

overall, I find that gltf files look paler / less contrasted than in sketchup. also, if you have a plain colour next to a material made of a photo of the same colour, you’ll get different results.

on this pikachu, you can see a slight difference between the eyes area and the rest of the body, plain yellow (this is in the AR mode of the warehouse, it uses a glb/gltf file)

this is in SU.
