Love Boat?
Anything goes. I’m trying to convince the director to go for something more static so I don’t have to build as many moving units.
Ah, Gilligan’s Island.
I did that about 16 years ago and to this day it is still one of my favorite set designs.
Kudos to your team! I would use at least the 12 hours to only scratching my head and after that to explore other procrastination methods.
They’re all brand new amateurs this year (three of them) and they’re doing so well! I have never, in 20 years of doing this, had such good luck with minions.
And this theatre is absolutely mental when it comes to time frame and deadlines. The amount of planning and pre-build required for a four day build from scratch is a fun mental exercise for me, but we do about 16 shows in 5 months with overlap and such… We’re ten shows in right now and I’m starting to hit my usual late summer mental breakdown. Ha!
Here are the two sets that the minions put up with only minimal input from me. I will say that while I don’t really recommend “ you can use SketchUp for iPad easily while hospitalized “ as a selling point, it’s very very true.
And some of the things I was able to upload for them when they had questions.
So just, like, awesome from presentation to delivery was the plan?
The plan was apparently to make the lighting guy hate me, haha.
