Recently updates to SU 2026 running on Mac OS Tahoe 26.1. Customize Toolbar doesn’t work, and the default toolbar doesn’t show the orthogonal views, texture view options, etc. Makes it almost impossible to navigate the model. Any help?
There is a problem with some extensions, including Selection Toys. If that is installed the customize toolbar options don’t appear. You would need to disable that extension, restart SketchUp, make your toolbar changes, then reenable the extension.
Hi Colin. Thank you for the quick response. I’m not using Selection Toys. I am using the extensions attached below; almost all of these are native to SU. I tried turning Rubywindows off, but no difference in the toolbar glitch. Any other workarounds would be appreciated.
Correction: I just restarted without Rubywindow. So that was the issue. Thank you for your input.
Thanks, I added 3D RubyWindow to the list of extensions that trigger the issue.
The next update from us, can’t yet say when that will be, has a work around in it to cope with these extensions. I tested that with 3D RubyWindow, and it does let you customize the toolbar.
Thank you! Good news is the user only has to do the enable/disable procedure once. All seems fine; once you customize the toolbar it reopens fine.
