Hi, I am encountering an issue whereby I cannot figure out how to start a consistent angled slice from 1100mm from the bottom, all the way to the top of the cut-out cylinder shape.
I have attached the SketchUp file for reference.
Curved Handrail.skp (73.6 KB)
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
Have you tried the āsolid tools (pro only) ā which let you substract solids (angle) from other solids (cylinder)?
Else maybe you can try search for an extension that can bend groups/components, like āclf shape bender ā or ātrue bend ā.

With True Bend: Starting with a flat version.
Take a look at this video, this will show you how to make a spring, which is actually the path you want around the edge of your cylinder.
That might get you some of the way there by doing it manually - although Iām sure there are other ways you can do it
