My ctrl quit working when I’m trying to copy using the move tool
Which version of SketchUp? Your profile lists SketchUp for Web (Free only) and 2026 Desktop which is not SketchUp for Web nor is it free. Please fix your forum profile to clarify the version.
Is the keyboard wireless? If so, have you replaced the batteries recently? If you are using the web based version what browser are you using?
I just tested it in the web version on Chrome and had no problem.
I’m using the web version. I assumed it was 2026, my bad. My keyboard is part of my laptop computer. I tried updating the keyboard drivers, but that didn’t change anything. The first few times I used SU it worked just as it should, but when I started a new project it quit working.
The web versions aren’t identified the same way as the desktop versions.
What web browser are you using?
Are you tapping or holding the Ctrl key. Do you get the same result with the other Ctrl key on the keyboard?
Does the ctrl key work with Windows functions?
I’ve tried holding and clicking on both keys. I’ve also tried with an object selected and un-selected. While moving and stationery.
I don’t know. I don’t use the ctrl key for anything except SU. How can I check it?
It should only be a tap, not holding.

Firefox
Try using Chrome.

It works in Chrome. Although, I much prefer Firefox. I guess I’ll have to use Chrome while working with SU.
So the problem is Firefox, not SketchUp. It wouldn’t be the first time. The next time there’s a Firefox update, try SketchUp in it again. It may get fixed.
