Creating a realistic singular brick

Hi,

i’m creating a clay paver and gravel garden on sketchup but having real problems with either creating my own or finding a model that is suitable to use as a clay paver. everything is just too flat. I just want a singular brick that has a rough texture that i can make the colour i like and change the dimensions. I’ll attach a link below of the clay paver i’m trying to match (not in colour but in texture)

if anyone can help it would be really appreciated.

many thanks

How exactly will you use the model? Just for rendering? Do you know how to create PBR materials?

Well the quickest thing to do to get the look and feel of these pavers is to make a PBR texture and use it with a render engine.

But if you’re not rendering or just want control of each individual paver, you could use an extension like Eneroth’s Fractal Terrain Eroder to make your linear paver less flat and regular looking.

Then you could use the paver texture to ‘project’ onto the paver. To get different colors, you could duplicate the paver texture, edit the color in SU or externally in something like Photoshop, then apply the edited color to a copy of the paver.

See comparison between the texture and the 3D modeled pavers of varying colors:
