Would be helpful if the clipping plane can be turned off by means of a button in SketchUp.

As your screenshot demonstrates; Camera > Parallel Projection is highly susceptible to clipping.
Many SU modelers setup a shortcut to toggle parallel projection on/off as needed.
I use the = key because it looks ‘parallel’

Yes we’ve been aware of this since way back and when we train and support clients we advise on a shortcut but im thinking of the new users that struggle and wonder why their model has sliced… weve advised many but it catches alot of new users out… we find the clipper appears on several scenarios - hence a clipper button or a fix would be of great value - im sure its reported many many times for a solution. - thanks James
