I need some possible help. I have a sketch up file that I am not able to open anymore. It says that there is still data in it, but when I open it is says failt to open or that it does not appear to be a sketch up model. I linkt some screenshots in below. Some have text that is realated but it’s in dutch.
Hopefully someone of you is familiar with this problem and can help me out.
Although there is data in the file it appears to be missing a significant chunk. Where have you been saving the file while working on it? Were you also saving a backup copy to Trimble Connect? Any chance you’ve started a LayOut project using the model? Did you try renaming the .skb to .skp and seeing if it would open?
I’m saving it in google drive. I have no clue if I have been saving a backup to trimble connect, so far I know of I’m not. This is also the first time I heard of it. I did not started a layout project. And there is a .skp file but I can’t open that one neiter.
I am still a student and my teachers didn’t teach us much about sketch up, so most is self thaught and that only includes how to make certain designs. Not all the data save stuf.
That’s been a common reason for corrupted files. Better is to save to a local, internal directory. If you must have a copy saved to your Google drive, copy it from the internal save location.
You should take advantage of the unlimited storage you have with Trimble Connect. Still save internally but also save a copy to Trimble Connect so you have another option.
