Crashed file becomes "File Not Found or Invalid"

When working on a project I had multiple windows open and SketchUp froze. (One model was rather large.) Of the three models open when I had to do “Force Quit,” only two of the three models will now open while the third gives me the message “File Not Found or Invalid.”

I cannot open the original file, the AutoSave or the backup file. The weird thing is I had a backup saved on OneDrive earlier in the day, about 2hrs before the issue, so I downloaded that backup thinking it would open. (I had no issues with the model at all when I backed it up.) It gave me the same message that the file was “File Not Found or Invalid.”

Update: A coworker tried to open the file on a PC using SketchUp 2018 and received the message “Unexpected File Format.”

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might have happened or if there is a chance I can get the model repaired somehow?
