There are almost no natural forests in Europe. Recently the need to preserve the last ones left in our parts was discussed in our largest newspaper. A professor who was interviewed commented that most people do not know what a real forest looks like. A scene in the Game of Thrones series takes place in a “primeval forest” that the professor identified as consisting of planted spruce trees.
