I want to convert 5-10 2D pictures of people into 3D models and use that in Sketchup en D5 Render. I have done this using various AI programs, but downloading the resulting 3D model requires payment, approximately €150 per year; a one-month subscription is not possible. I don’t want to do that for only 5-10 models. Do you know of any other options?
You’re using a cr acked version of SketchUp 2021, still?
With SketchUp 2026 there are some options included with your subscription.
Why do you need to create 3D people out of images? You can use D5 assets or download 3D people from different places including the 3d warehouse.
If you have a SketchUp Pro subscription, you can use the AI Assistant to do that for you.
Could not find a single model with clothing from 1880 in 3D Warehouse or D5 libraries. 1880 is the period of my village model. Tried use of i.g. Tripo 3D with very good results but payed download.
I don’t get the impression that SketchUp can convert 2D to 3D. Could you or Dave give me an example of a 3D model generated by SketchUp (glb file) and explain how you managed to do it?
