My PCs are all running on Win 7 Pro, 2 of them running on 4GB RAM, another a HP Z-Workstation running on 12GB RAM. They experiencing very slow file loading in SketchUp. However, The SketchUp Pro version is 6. I’m wondering if this is the problem with the incompatibility of SU Pro 6 with the current Win OS 7 Pro? Thanks
SU 6 should run fine on Win 7. SU isn’t too impressed with lot of RAM. SU runs as a 32-bit app, which caps the available RAM, but even then that is most likely not the speed bottleneck.
Sounds like the issue is the file - ie, very large, lots of materials, lots of geometry, etc. Review How do I make SketchUp run faster.
