True. I figured that Color by Layer was now switched off because of this:

Perhaps the scene wasn’t updated after the change was made…

Not sure if this can be opened, but an earlier model think it will have the same settings

I tried the file in that zip and I don’t see the colored face problem on my Mac…

I think the problem has to do with styles sync between Layout and Sketchup:

  • If you remove color by layer option you MUST update the style applied to that scene, otherwise layout “might” not recognize it.

  • Sometimes layout doesn’t display your current style, if something on SU styles or LO styles has change. This might happen even if you update the style after the change, save the model, and update it in Layout,

  • if that is the case, the best thing to do is rename the style and save it, then send to layout again.

Go Window/Model info/Statistic
and hit the purge button.

Here it is no windows and removed the roof and a few walls to get the file size down hopefully it still shows the problem

First, you do have color by layer turned on in the style used by the floor plan scene.

The floors are also painted with the Tile Straight 300x300 texture.

So i should un check “Colour by Layer”

It has changed in the model but when i save and update in layout it doses not change the floor plan

Just opened a new layout and it has updated fine this time. Thank you
