Classic + M&S: what would make you switch?

Continuing the discussion from Announcing new features to SketchUp 2019 and LayOut!:

beside the fact that single ‘file type’ digital archives are always vulnerable to redundancy…

for ‘single user’, unless we were obliged to ‘surrender’ our existing ‘Classic’ licences, we could continue using ‘that’ version for ‘archival’ content…

To entice Classic diehards:

  • a Classic licence should be updated and remain ‘Perpetual’ when the ‘first’ Subscription period runs out…

  • the cost of switching should take my payment history into account…
e.g. subscription cost, minus initial cost, plus yearly cost, times years, divided by years used…

    # if I had used for six, but had a year and a bit out of M&S...
    299 - ((695 + 120*4)/6.4) = 115.41
  • currently, SU Web is an under valued benefit of Subscription that could be very useful if…
a Pro version of SU Web that used more familiar desktop toolbar icons and extensions…

I’m sure there’s other things that will entice people…
