Frustratingly I can no longer add a carriage return (Control + Enter) in the cell of a Table in layout. Why?
Has this changed? Any ideas?
Newly added: Looked in shortcuts - also can no longer add new functions so I can add my own keyboard shortcut (not that I even know if there is a long way of doing this).
SOLVED ISSUE: OS Sequoia 15.1 - this had set a keyboard short cut of control + enter for contextual menu (under APPLE\system settings\KEYBOARD\keyboard shortcuts) - I switched this off and now can use Control + Enter as a carriage return. (I realised that I could not do a carriage return in pages either… hence I investigated)
We need someone who still uses LayOut on Mac to answer. On Windows, Ctrl+Enter does result in a carriage return in the cell. Typically when Ctrl is the modifier key for SketchUp and LayOut on Windows, Option is the modifier on Mac.
Does Control+Enter result in a carriage return in a cell in Excel or other spreadsheet application on Mac?
Usually it does. Have now solved - new OS update changed that function. Have changed the shortcut on the Mac. Thank you for your help. Have a good holiday season
