I started working on a project on a school computer for my final, however, I wanted to be able to work on it on my laptop at home. My professory suggested saving my skp file along with all my imported materials from the internet into a zip file and then sending the zip file to myself and opening on my computer. however, for some reason sketchup will not allow me to open this file, thoughts?
Sketchup won’t open a zip file, you need to open the zip and extract the .skp file before you can use it.
I tried to do that just now. it only includes an skb file, i tried to open it but it wouldnt allow me to open that either
You saved the backup file. just change the file extension from .skb to .skp and it will open.
