Can't import SU 2018 Models into Existing (2017) LO Files

I have a set of files that were originally made in 2017 (SU and LO). I have opened the SU model since updating to 2018 and saved it. When I open the LO file in 2018 it won’t allow me to update the originally embedded SU model or re-import it. HOWEVER, If I save the SU file to a legacy format (2017) it seems to work. This is a temporary work-around, but any ideas of what might be causing the issue?

are you sure your opening with LayOut version 2018?

Looks like I had some issue with setting Layout 2018 as the default for layout files. I had to go in and manually search for the .exe file within the windows prompt instead of just choosing the icon…
