On a Mac. I imported a .dwg file which seems to have worked. I can copy but I can’t paste using command V or through the selection bar. (edit, paste as paste is greyed out). Also, I can’t hit the space key to get the pointer back.
What version of SKetchUp? What operating system? Please complete and update your forum profile.
How large is the .dwg file you’ve imported?
Good Questions. 2025 Sketchup, file is 660kb now. It started as 1.2mb but I deleted a lot from itt. MAC OS Tahoe 26.2
How many edges in the component you are trying to copy? I expect if you select it and the hit the Copy command, the computer may appear to lock up as it is copying. Where are you trying to copy it to? Somewhere else in the same model? If so, does it lock up if you use Move/Copy?
and now the functions are working.

You aren’t using that ancient nVidia graphics card in your current computer are you?
no - I’m using whatever is in my 2025 MacAirbook with the Apple M4 chip
So you’re using Apple’s M4 8 cores gpu not an Nvidia 320M.
FYI, Tahoe support came in with SketchUp 2026.
