2017 sketchup, when I choose a command such as move, as I zoom out to movie an object to its desired location the command stops and I have to go back and pick that object and try it again and also it does this with rotate or any other command. I thought it was my computer lack of memory but since then I bought a new computer with 32 memory and it still does this, I have some plugin’s from Fredo and a few others not to say this is what’s causing it. This is new to me for I have been using this program since 2017 and it never did this. Looking for some suggestions. Thanks John
How are you activating Zoom or Orbit? Are you using the center wheel on a 3-button mouse?
SketchUp 2017 hasn’t changed in eight years so it must be something else.

I am using a three-button programmable button mouse from Logitech that I have been using for years. When I pick an object with my mouse I choose The part of the object that I want to move it might be the center or a corner, after I have chosen I go to orbit with my mouse and then scroll out with the center wheel and as soon as I start to move to where I wanted to go I lose the command, I am at a loss to understand why this is. I thought since I had purchased this new computer that that would end. But I was somewhat shocked that it is still doing this, so I know it’s not the computer or the memory.
I doubt that it’s an extension but you could disabled them all and see if the behavior continues. If it doesn’t, enable a few at a time and see how it goes. If it starts again after adding an extension you can probably assume that extension is the culprit.
Sounds good, I will try this. I hope it’s not a plug-in for the fact that the ones I have make sketchup more enjoyable to use. Thanks again John
Good luck.
