I am new to sketch up and have been sent a file from an architect. can i separate the views into floors and also get a 3d image of each floor? any help will be greatly appreciated
You don’t indicate the format of the file that you received and it will make a difference depending on whether the file is a .skp or .layout
What you are asking for is possible to do in SketchUp which can then be imported into Layout. If your architect sent a SketchUp file that shows scenes depicting the desired images, after importing the model into LO, simply copy and paste the scenes onto your Layout pages where you want them to be placed.
Unless you can have the architect submit the data in the appropriate format, you may need to create the scenes you want on your own.
