Can I cycle through scenes inside of a copied viewport in Layout?

Hey guys,

I recently ditched my autocad license and jumped over to SU, and im still trying to fill in a few gaps in the learning curve.

Is there a way (within Layout) to cycle through my scenes inside of a selected viewport so i dont have to manually select it from the Model tray?

Is there an option to create a shortcut so i can program it in to my macro controller and then just cycle through the available scenes for any given viewport? If so - whats the name of the function ? This would save a lot of time.

Thank you

Ryan.

You can right-click on the viewport, then pick from the scenes that way - it’s a tad quicker. There isn’t a function to cycle through scenes, but sounds like an interesting idea.

Ahh .. Thank you. Not exactly what i was hoping for - but still a bit easier than manually navigating to the tray to choose.

I think this idea would be a great time-saving feature for future updates!

I might do this in AutoHotKey.

Code to right-click on the viewport, select Scene and set focus and then maybe use the up and down arrows to cycle through.

Using the mouse, once you select Scene you can use the arrows. You can also use the key that is the first letter/number of the scene.
