Camera bounding boxes making section planes too large to use easily

I have a model where I wish to insert and manipulate multiple section planes. Unfortunately, though all the objects/components have tight boundary boxes and there is no stray geometry I find that the section planes are taking into consideration the camera FOV bounding boxes and are extremely large making them difficult to manipulate as invisible when zoomed into the model. Is there a workaround?

Group the model so it doesn’t include the FOV boxes. Then open that group for editing to place your section planes.

As far as SketchUp is concerned, those camera FOV boxes are just geometry and if the section planes are placed in the context of the entire model, they will include those boxes.
