Last year I was recruited to change our Sketchup Studio licenses at my architecture firm to a business account. I was told that the value of switching to a business account was that I would be able to call a real person when I need help. Now my licenses have somehow been allowed to expire, and I have not received an invoice or any way to renew. As part of the Business Account”, I am unable to renew our licenses because someone at Trimble is now the admin. It is Saturday now, I need to do some work with Sketchup, and nobody is working at Trimble today.
The ONLY REASON I need help right now is BECAUSE I switched to a “business account”, and I can’t get ahold of anyone. This is ridiculous.
This is all it shows in my plan settings. It says expired back in May because that is when they transferred me to the “Business Account”, and took over admin control of our account. The person managing my account is Micah Lockerby, and the phone number in his profile is disconnected.
I found a way around it. I just went to the sketchup site and purchased new licenses. Somehow that gave me back admin control over our licenses. I advise everyone to avoid the “Business Account”. That team has been completely incompetent from day 1, and has only made managing my firms licenses more difficult.
Yep. What a ridiculous setup. I have circumvented them so I can actually get some work done. I hope they get rid of the Business Accounts for everyone else’s sake. They don’t provide any additional benefit, and they have been completely incompetent.
