Struggiling to open my sketchup file on my desktop. I have deleted the program and redownloaded it. Not sure where to go from here.

Share the file with us so we can try to help you out. Have you been sending in the Bug Splat reports with your email address and name so they can be connected with you? Does SketchUp present the Bug Splat if you open other files? What is the model of graphics card?
When you installed SketchUp did you install it correctly? That requires right clicking on the installer and selecting Run as administrator.
