Bug spalsh

Good morning, everyone!

I’m running into a problem with SketchUp that I can’t seem to fix. When I import a very heavy model exported from CYPE and try to save the project, SketchUp crashes (triggering the BugSplat error) and closes, causing me to lose all my work.

Basically, I’m unable to save the file.

I’d also like to know if there’s a way to clean up or optimize a model coming from CYPE to make it lighter in SketchUp and avoid this kind of issue.

If anyone has dealt with this before or has any tips, I’d appreciate it!

Are you sending in the Bug Splat reports with anything to identify they came from you?

Where are you saving the file while working on it?

Is it a cr acked version of SketchUp 2024?

What model of GeForce graphics card?

Hard to tell exactly without seeing the model. Perhaps you can share the .skp file.

It’s not unusual to wind up with excessively detailed objects from outside sources. It may be that you’ll need to open the objeect in a separate file and strip out unneeded detail before adding it to your project. It’s probable that your project is already obese due to the content you’ve added. It may need you to go through and clean it up. Again, can’t give any definites without seeing the model.
