I use SketchUp AI Render for professional interior and retail design work.
In previous versions, the “Respect Model Geometry” and “Prompt Influence” controls made it possible to balance photorealistic rendering with fidelity to the actual SketchUp model.
These controls have now been removed from the latest release. For architectural work, this is a major regression: AI Render frequently changes furniture, materials, lighting, architectural elements or proportions even when the prompt explicitly asks it not to. Prompt engineering alone does not provide the same level of control.
Please consider restoring these settings, especially “Respect Model Geometry”. Generative freedom can be useful for concept work, but for presenting an existing design to clients, geometry fidelity is essential.
This is not a request for a new feature, but for the return of controls that were previously available.
