You haven’t done anything wrong. Blurry within Layout doesn’t mean it will be blurry when you export it. This is related to the images “Display Resolution” in Document Setup. Keeping it on Medium in Display Resolution and High in Output Resolution optimizes your speed within Layout.
Oh. When I clicked high display resolution it still looked bad in layout, so I figured it would look bad in the PDF. But it actually looks fine in the PDF. Thank you!
yes, it’s a standard with layout softwares like layout, indesign…
they use a lower quality preview instead of the full size (and weight) elements. that way, the software and machine can handle a multi-page document with lots of stuff in it.
A couple decades ago it was vital. not as much today, but it’s still a standard.
