I have made a shade sail solution for a private home. An architect has shared a model of the house and I have added my products into it. Normally I export it to Layout and add several pages with different view. After I have added all pages I export to pdf. Is there a better way to present it?
It depends on what you need to convey in the presentation and who the audience is. Are you presenting technical information about the installation? Or do you need to make pretty pictures to show the client? It might be that using a rendering application to create photo-realistic images would be in order. That would take more time and you’d want to factor that in.
Rereading your post, are you just asking if a PDF is the best option for presentation? I expect it probably is. Anyone can open a PDF these days and you will know exactly what the viewer is seeing.
Yes, I normally present it as a pdf file. Earlier I tried using camera and created a small video(mp4).
The presentation is only to make a pretty picture like you say. I should investigate how to render the image. The products are exclusive and for this it diserves a pretty presentation.
Videos can certainly be a nice thing.
There are a number of different rendering applications. Some of them, like Vray can even export rendered animations.
You need to consider the kind of images you want to present. There are other options for that, too. Maybe you want more of a hand-drawn, painterly look to your images. That’s possible as well.

You can also select from a variety of styles in the Styles panel in SketchUp, too.
Are you still using SketchUp 2020 as your profile shows?
No, just updated to 2025 from 2024. I must update the profile

You could also share the model using the 3dwarehouse or trimble connect.
It all depends on what you want to show, like an animation/video is nice, but not easy to print out on paper (flipbook?)
You could then ad a qcode to your document refering to the online model or use the online model only when you are presenting the model when you are presenting the model and its feratures.
Most times a pdf file would be sufficient tho.

If I share with trimble connect, does the vieweer need to have sketchUp installed?
