I often need to copy a face from a group or component, but find myself exploding the copied entity just to free it from the orginal (THEN regrouping the original enities).
Is there a better way?
Thanks!

Try using **Copy** … followed by **Paste In Place**

Where the **Copy** happens from within the Group Edit mode… and **Paste in Place** is used after you exit the Groups Edit Mode.

for menu location See… \>Edit \>Paste In Place

Thanks!
Regular old Copy and Paste worked, per your suggestion!

Usually “exploding” is a backwards move. Good advice.
