Best font for speed

of all the fonts available to use for notes, callouts, and dimensions, is there a particular font or type of font to consider when seeking to avoid slowdown in layout. I usually use Comic Sans but I notice that as I get close to finishing a project the file slows down and I wonder which pieces of the file are slowing it down the most.

I’ll also ask about pattern fills and whether to unlink them or keep them linked.

Overall my system runs smoothly and it’s quick with only an occasional crash so pretty happy with performance these days.

I don’t think there’s really any speed difference between fonts. Certainly nothing that could be noticed. Your slowing performance probably stems from something else. Most likely a SketchUp reference or perhaps excessively large images inserted into the project.

If you use a lot of them, unlinking them might shorten startup time because LayOut won’t go looking for the original references to see if they are newer than the embedded copies but overall, I don’t think you’d notice any reduced performance.
