Background objects showing in section cut, sketchup 2026 pro

when cutting a section through a garage door header, why do objects on the backside of the header showing through?

For instance, in this section the double top plate (2 horizontal lines) beyond the header shows.

How can i fix this? thank you

Section fills turned on and fill color set to white gets me this:

As it stands, it is rendering everything exactly as you have it drawn.
