It’s not clear from your forum profile whether you’re using the browser-based web version or the desktop version.
If you are using desktop version:
What kind of update are you talking about, a minor one - so you updated from 2026.1 to 2026.1.2?
Or major, from 2025 to 2026? Have you migrated your extensions? What extensions do you have?
Are you seeing this on all models or just on that one? Share the model!
Have you tried restarting your computer? Are you using the latest Nvidia Driver? Are you sure Sketchup is using Nvidia?
Which graphics engine are you using, the classic one or the new one? Have you tried switching between them?
renew to 2026.1.2. sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t, with all models. nvidia geforce 4070 laptop. nvidia soft updated. sketchup desktop version.
Do you have Solid Inspector Extension? Is that enabled on Overlay Tray?
Turned off, and nothing changes when turned on
Upload the model so it can be inspected, otherwise we are guessing.
Those look like hidden objects from a dynamic component.

I don’t use dynamic components. This is the case with most models, but not always.
well, until you share the model, it’s a game of hit and miss. if it’s heavy, share it using wetransfer or a similar service
this happens with various models. one time it opens fine, the next time it does. when you pull the parts to the side the contours stay in place. I don’t see the point in bringing up all the files
Just 1 file that displays this behavour would better than none…
If it happens on all of YOUR files, but not on any of MY files, then me looking at one of your files would help to identify the difference. If is does in fact happen on all of your files, then there is a chance it is related to your template.
