Apostrophe is not working on Mac to set measurements

We have a student machine that will not let the apostrophe key work to set measurements. We’ve tried clearing the cache and cookies, and we’ve tried working in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. No luck. I’ve reinstalled Chrome and rebooted the laptop multiple times. Is anyone else experiencing this? He’s the only student, the rest are working just fine.

Side note: The apostrophe key works on other programs.

Turn off Smart Quotes in the Settings for the OS.

Hi Dave, we tried shutting off the Smart Quotes and it’s still not working. Thanks for the info though.

Confirm that regional settings are appropriate.

The keyboard was on US International instead of US. It’s working now.
