Do any Mac users out there have any experience with the new Logitech MX 4 mouse? I am thinking of getting one, as my shop mouse is pretty much dying. I would make my house mouse to shop mouse, and use the MX 4 as my house mouse.
I’ve been user of Logitech products for over ten years, my current mouse is the MX 3 and I’ve never had any issues with it, I bought it in 2021 to replace my old performance MX bought in 2013, the reason I replaced wasn’t because of failures, it was because Logitech old software wasn’t going to be compatible with newer versions of macOS, if I wanted to keep using the mapping features I had to stay with Catalina, I also got an M1 Max MacBook in 2021 and it supported only Big Sur, I gave my old MacBook to my wife with the Performance MX and she’s still using it with Catalina, she doesn’t need a powerful machine for her job as veterinary. The MX4 is very similar to the MX3, its ergonomic and has a lot of configurations with buttons gestures, a new feature has been added called actions ring but I haven’t had time to test it, it’s compatible with MX3 and MX 4 models. In my opinion the master series products are the best for professional use, the MX keys is also a great device, the numbers keyboard is a lot faster than typing on the upper part of the laptop keyboard.
Same here, started with the MX master 1 and am now using the MX master 2 for about six years.
Wanted to upgrade to the MX master 4 but I’m going for the MX master 3S now because the action rings feature is compatible with that version and it’s almost half the price..
Don’t know if the haptic feedback thing is worth the difference in price.. Maybe for gamers?
Mouse be mousing - personally I’m not fan of basic accessories that require external software or apps to run. Just more things to go wrong or suck up memory.
The haptic feedback needs to be supported by the software itself - photoshop and lightroom for example will vibrate when generative fill is completed.
Other than that , the action rings will be the mian thing.
It just means it will make sensations when those options are used - much like various things on an iPhone do.
Logitech / 3D connexion are a big brand, they make quality products.
