Animation License

Hi,

Can animations created with SketchUp Make be used on a company website?

Thanks, having trouble finding anything about this.

I believe that would be considered commercial use which would mean you must use the pro version.

To be specific, see the SketchUp End User License Agreement, section 2.2.1, that says:

For example, if you are a for-profit organization of any kind, or an employee of a for-profit organization using the Software in that capacity, you are engaged in commercial activity; therefore, in order to use the Software, you must purchase a SketchUp Pro license.

However, you and your company, can hire a SketchUp modeler / renderer that possesses a Pro license, to create the files for you. Often this will be done with 3rd party animation extensions or external professional render applications, which will be of better quality than the simple output direct from SketchUp.

Feel free to post an add in the Commercial Work category.
